Advantageous Adventitious

by Sally on June 9, 2010

These are the growing tips of 3 tomato plants. The plants didn’t thrive but the tips were still green and healthy so I snipped them off, popped them in a pot of water for a few weeks and the stems grew roots.

A sort of double-jointness for plant tissue.

Whiskery walrus like growth, known as adventitious roots, these can now be put into pots and grown as plants in their own right.
