Linda, who I interviewed a few weeks ago, was growing Ferline and Legend, both blight resistant varieties in her garden along with one plant of Golden Sunrise. So I popped back to see how her tomatoes were ripening. Nicely !
The top picture is of a truss of Ferline. When green they have a high shine and plumped look – like a cross between a glass eye and a pin cushion.

We also did a taste test which I should have made notes of ! From what I can remember Golden Sunrise was quite jelly like inside, pleasant flavour. Ferline had good flavour but tough skin which if you’re using as a tomato for cooking up sauces from etc isn’t an issue.
Although for Linda top marks for flavour still go to Sungella ( not pictured) which also roasts beautifully.
