This felt ripe to the touch, so time to pick and see what lay inside !
More green – the outside is green with a hint of gold in the background and inside is just green – which makes for an odd eating experience as you think it’s going to be sharp. Which it wasn’t. I’m not sure about this variety yet. I thought it would make a nice stripy menagerie contrast to Tigerella but whereas Tigerella is a real treat to eat – Green Zebra less so. But I’ll wait for a few more to ripen – this one might just have been the dress rehearsal or first pancake.
