Neglected.
That’s the word which best describes the garden and tomatoes this past week.
I’ve dashed out to water, feed and pick but other than that have paid them little attention. The reason – I know it sounds crazy – but it’s been the weather – it’s been too good.
Too good to miss getting out and doing outdoor stuff beyond the garden fence. Walking, cycling, sitting on a bench soaking up the sun, glass of wine in hand even better. It’s been about squeezing a whole summers worth of stuff into about 10 days.
Is it over now ? Probably. Some plants have a little more fruit that just might turn a couple of notched riper but most are done.
So for perhaps the last time I am enjoying plentiful tomato platters:
