Growing Tomatoes. Week 33.

week 33

Week 33 !

This weekend the trees shed their leaves faster than Simon Cowell shed credibility* - and still the remaining tomato plants made it through another week.

There are even still a few pale but edible fruit hanging on in there – on past Halloween and with Guy Fawkes night in sight…..( or sound).

However there’s no denying a change of season is here and so with it a change of pace for TomatoLover.

Until next years’ seeds get sown I am going to be ’cropping’ up a little less frequently.

I’m still going to be here, swotting away on Saturdays and then on Sundays for the sandwiches. Until I finally run out of tomato & …… I’m not prepared to miss out on the sarnies !

And then I’ll be here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, leaving Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays fallow until Spring wakes everything up again next year and there’s more to do and learn .

So at the same time I also wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has dropped in each day to keep tabs on how my tomatoes grow. Your company has been much appreciated. I hope you’ll keep having a look to see what semi hibernation brings and that you, like me, are also counting off the months till it all kicks off again…..

*( Sorry I know this is a tomato blog and lots of you have probably far better things to do with your time - well so now do I following Rachel’s exit -…. if it’s about the singing- as SiCo keeps insisting- then how come on Sunday it was about connecting with the public….. so pls forgive my off grid rant – just consider it a little rotten tomato throwing. )
