Newton’s Tomato

We know about the apple. Now the story gets to be told differently – with amongst other things – a tomato.

If you have three minutes watch this hypnotic and  beautifully balletic perfomance of falling objects. If not, let me share the headline – a .28 kg tomato, falling at a rate of 3.6 metres per second, creates a transferable force of .27 Newtons ( I think ….)

Delighted that you have energised yourself into converting tumbling tom (red) into figurative fancy. Oh, the gravity of the tomato grower……

If there is a close 2nd to the enjoyment of a home grown tomato – it is a couple of very good pun (nets) of word play ! So I enjoyed your response !
