Well – Santorage and Snowberry. And whilst I know that citrus isn’t the correct flavour descriptor here – I’m never good at articulating what is ! I tend to default to the ‘tell it as it is’ -yum or yuck. But I’ll give it a go !
Snowberry is a medium to large sized cherry tomato. Long, thin, spidery calyx. Pale yellow skin (texture is a pleasant eating). Quite tart but juicy and nice flesh. So overall – a goody.
Santorage is a lovely shape and colour. Sort of egg/plum shaped, although more damson in size. Lovely day-glo orange skin which also infuses the flesh of the tomato (think cantaloupe melon). Sweet with a tiny tart edge; a light flavour. Not many seeds. Perhaps more of a light cooking tomato than salad. A goody for beautiful looks and bountiful harvest.

Thank you for those reviews, I’m impressed by Snowberry’s positive reviews, it’ll certainly be on my wants list for next year’s plants. Santorange looks and sounds like an excellent choice too. Perhaps it’ll be a case of ‘move over, Gardener’s Delight’…
Thank you for your pictures too; the tomatoes look really fresh and I like the way you’ve used contre-jour lighting to pick out the details. I think your still-life photography does you credit.
I too am really tempted to start drawing up next year’s lists ! Who’s in and who’s out ! I’m going to wait to see what the final crop for each variety is as well though. Funny you should say about Gardeners Delight. I’d decided not this year – then I ended up with those 2 bought- in plants – and I’ve been pleased with them – so only on Monday, was thinking I should have them again next year ! Decisions ! Decisions !
Thank you for the lovely comments on the photos . Sometimes my camera gets exhausted from all the red and throws up some really oddly shaded snaps – all in the same run so it’s good to know the ones that end up on here are good to look at ! As for the light – I’d like to say its artistic but it’s turned into a case of chasing the light round the house – some places it’s way too gloomy already and the one thing I have learnt is that I sometimes have to use it – tomatoes don’t look so good with the flash bouncing off them !
