Yesterday I wrote about the ingenuity of gardeners to take discarded items and put them to good use. Turns out I hadn’t seen anything…..
Forget 10 green bottles and sitting them on a wall. In this world of thinking big grab yourself 1500 and build a greenhouse.
You’ll need to know a lot of not so secret lemonade drinkers but when you have your haul you’ll have the key building material from which to construct a 6ft by 8ft greenhouse.
Thanks to the Guardian for highlighting this feat of Scottish engineering. A schools project run in association with REAP.
If you decide it’s for you there’s a free ‘how to build it’ step by step guide available.
If life gives you lemonade bottles…….

If you want to see annother version of a plastic bottle greenhouse take a look at my squidoo page at http://www.squidoo.com/plasticbottlegreenhouse
This is the no bamboo canes version (and therefore cheaper to build!) you use wire looped around the frame instead and slot the bottles in.
