Oh dear. Even more inarticulate taste buds today! I’ve looked back at my notes (made only yesterday!) and for both varieties they read : ‘ nice skin, nice flavour’ ! With the word ‘juicy’ next to Floridity but not Rosada. But I wouldn’ take that to mean too much !
The shapes are different ! Floridity is a ‘pointy’ plum – skinny and long, and very even in shape. Rosada is more uneven, undulating even, with a cute dimpled bottom.
If I had to choose between the two, I would probably go for Floridity, but only by a Calyx whisker.

they look beautifully juicy. do you think eating dimply bottomed tomatoes would make your cellulite worse?! i’ve had to google calyx whisker!
Absolutely not ! Given that tomatoes seem to be a health miracle worker for all sorts of things I can only think they’d make it better !!
If my chutney making doesn’ work out – may be I can whizz it up in a blender and see if I can’t turn it into a fortune-creating miracle ‘dimple curing ointment’ !
Did you find anything under Calyx Whisker !? I made it up to the give poor cats and their whiskers a rest ! But now I’m inspired – so far I’ve got to Calyx Whisper – George Michael’s tribute to how growing tomatoes turned his life around……
And Calyx Jane … the Trusswood Stage is a-coming on over the hill….
If only I didn’t think it would get released ‘straight to bird scarer’ format I’d do a CD !
