Yes, it’s called the Calyx.
What, the green stalky thing that sticks out the top of the tomato and has the little green pointy leaves around it, that’s called the Calyx ?
Yes, more the green pointy leafy things than the stalk. Individually the pointy things are called Sepals; together they are the Calyx. They would have originally been round the flower as it opened and then over the fruit as it emerged and grew and then left on the tomato as it was picked from the vine.
Well I never! The Calyx…..Hope it comes up as a crossword clue !
