We found out today that Bo, Portugese Water Dog and newest White House resident is a fellow Tomato Lover.
In his first press conference, speaking on Bo’s behalf, Barack Obama reported that ‘Portugese Water Dogs like Tomatoes‘.
Concern for the wellbeing of Michelle’s vegetable patch was expressed.
If the White House has a pond however ,the goldfish are safe for the time being. Apparently Portugese Water Dogs have to be taught how to swim !
We welcome all Tomato Lovers – two or four legged!

Bo is top dog and this is the top tomato site on Google! Congratulations on your meteoric rise to greenhouse roof level in the seedling stakes. Of course, to help Bo to swim, you would need to throw tomatoes into the White House pond (Is there one?) and encourage him to retrieve. The big dog of my acquaintance would not go into water for anything other than a pheasant. Of course, you can take this comment as a load of tommy rot (Ahhh! Too much damping off…..).

Yorkshire hounds clearly have more sense than Portugese ! From a canine perspective you would think pheasant would give rise to a far waggier tail! For a start at least it gives a bit of a chase!
