This was reduced from £ 6.99 to £1.99 and with more than a whiff of the Swiss Army Knife about it I thought I’d try it .
After all if anyone is going to need a tomato peeler it’s going to be someone with 50 tomato plants.
However, turns out I don’t . It does remove the peel but not without leaving annoying little bits behind and to hold the tomato firmly enough to peel, it ends up getting squidged.
The peeler also recommends itself for kiwi fruit and ginger so I’m going to redeploy and continue to treat tomatoes to the hot water dunk and peel.

This looks sooo interesting, I’ve always wondered about a tomato peeler!
My advice – resist ! It’s more fun and satisfying to peel by hand after dropping them in hot water !
