sally - tnx soooo much for the info. I am an avid gardener in central florida and want to find out the foot candle req for all common veggies as i am planning a hobby screen house . I have a good light meter left over from some indoor orchid days and i got some scrap pool type screen from a neighbor to play with tomorrow. It appeRs it reduces light transmission by roughly half. I do have some 70 -and small piece of 50 % shade cloths i have dabbled with. My tomatoes can get sun burned scalded and many ruined in both spring and late fall crops. Do you have any links i could search for lux or fc reqs for other veggies ? You have helped me a lot today and i kmo you did this info almost 2 years ago so hope you get this ok.
Cheers and thanx for your humor and info . Ur pal cal
