This is the Elegance plant that wasn’t, the grafted one that didn’t take. 3 were whisked in to take its place by a helpful Sutton’s ‘Whoops – it’s keeled over’ customer service dept and I decided to ‘degraft’ the original one by taking its top off and seeing how it would feel about growing its own roots after ‘outsourcing’ failed.
It obliged but not without getting into a bit of a twirl about it all. And unusual purple tinge as well. Certainly not quite dibber shaped those roots ! Still it’s been potted up so let’s see what happens !
