Welcome to Tomato Lover. This summer I am looking forward to eating the most delicious tomatoes. Ever.
My own! Well, that’s my hope!
I am a beginner to growing my own – of anything! But I have always loved the unique taste and experience of the gift of a bowl of tomatoes, picked straight from friends’ carefully tended and nurtured plants.
So this year I will return the favour.
Along with growing the plants I am also working hard on growing my knowledge and experience of all things tomato. I have been delving deep into seeds, plants, varieties, equipment and the highs and lows that are part of any endeavour that requires a blend of human skill and know-how along with a tomato loving Mother Nature pitching in with the right weather and holding off on the plagues of pests and other nasties !
Tomato Lover is the log-book for our progress – myself and my plants!

Planting my first tomatoes this evening! (a little late, I know, but I came across the opportunity quite by chance!).
